National Punjabi Conference on the occasion of International Mothertongue day in Lahore in 2003.
This conference from 21 to 22 February, 2003 was held in Lahore and attended by distinguished writers and intellectuals from all over Pakistan. The following resolutions were passed:

The radio and television in Punjabi is meting out step-motherly treatment to Punjabi language. It was demanded that Punjabi programmes in Punjab should be given preference.

It was demanded that the first ever Punjabi University should be established in Lahore.

It was also demanded that thousands of unemployed M.A Punjabi degree holders should be provided jobs.

That all languages spoken in Pakistan be declared the national languages of Pakistan.
